Her full album will be released on September 20, I think I'm going to be busy with another album release that day. 😁 I'll be busy with that album you're talking about. I'll definitely be saving Charlotte's album for after.
Moondance
Some band news coming in, and just at the end of their festival performances for the year. Something close to be revealed? A new album? 🤫 Hoping that it is a new single, as I know Martijn was at the Rosko Campsite! https://www.facebook.com/delainmusic/posts/1060485852115675

Fugazi
Cool, new stuff to bring for signatures at the next meet and greet! 😁 Only two new songs, but I'm happy for live recordings with Diana. And that'll be two meet and greets I will be attending this March in Toronto and Montreal! I'll more than likely have the EP signed in Toronto before I travel to Montreal the next day to see them again. In the Delain Facebook group I am in, I know there were requests for an alternate ending version for "Underland", so I think some are going to be happy about that. While I am sad that there are two songs, I look forward to hearing "The Reaping". But yeah, I wouldn't mind if Delain releases a live album in the future.
Fugazi
I don't get the need for an alternate ending to Underland... I know some fans complained that it ended on a fade-out, but at the end of the album it made sense and I didn't mind at all. And for the shows they did rework the end because a live fade-out doesn't work well. But was re-recording the song with a neat ending really necessary? 🤔
Fugazi
The last single before Charlotte releases her new album (today!) is another collaboration with Alissa White-Gluz, 'Ode To The West Wind'.
Fugazi
The support act for the North American tour of Delain will be Edge Of Paradise, and I'm quite happy about their choice. Xandria is also their special guest. Looking forward to seeing all three bands!
StarDragonX
Delain - April Rain is one of those songs and albums that bug me a little bit after many years. Maybe it's the whole April Rain album. There is the very old April Rain video from 14 years ago. I always searched for a better quality than the 240p version by Roadrunner Records. One day I noticed that Delain Official channel has a better quality version than the other ones. The CGI is quite advanced for its time. I think this song is referencing some World War 2 event. War music or War Metal (as I call it) is in a genre of its own. There is this band IGNEA (UKR), which released their first single after the Russian invasion year 2014, and they have been active ever since. Anyway there is sometimes this war-like atmosphere to some songs. In the case for "April rain", rain is sometimes written to indicate some event in a real war, as "October Rain" by the Israeli Eurovision artist Eden Golan in European Eurovision. EBU (Eurovision highest power) stated that "October Rain" is not a valid song title and it was renamed to "Hurricane" (by Eden Golan). The word "hurricane" is mentioned also in this song. It is talking about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Anyway... my intention is not to start a fiery politics discussion here. But "April Rain" is probably also meaning some World War II event, I think, though I don't know exactly which one. And the quality of the Delain - April Rain album is super good, there is a very nice effect on Charlotte Wessel's voice, and I just love the sound. Anyway, here is the video. BTW, I love Delain as a band, the old and the new stuff. Another example of this style is Nightwish - 10th Man Down (old extra release). And I don't know how to explain the theme better than this. 🙂 So what actually bugs me is why do bands do sometimes these very difficult war or other references that are usually not politically correct. Maybe it is their way to have some kind of opinion. Edited October 6 by StarDragonX
Moondance
Already got my hotel room for Delain's Montreal show this March booked in! All I need to get now is the flight ticket for a round trip, and I'm going the day after the band performs in Toronto which I am also going to with a friend. This will be the third time that I have come to Montreal to see a concert, the other two being Xandria back in 2017, and Helloween in 2018. Montreal is always fun to see a metal show, and the audiences are amazing. Probably a bit better than Toronto's. 😛 Edited November 29 by Moondance
