  1. There is moooore. I don't know if these are "bootlegs" or what. But music business is a "wild west" anyway, so somebody can "claim" them if they have the copyright. Otherwise, here is a "Century Child" concert from 2002 (fricking 1 hour 30 minutes) 2005 Taubertal festival
  2. Nope. Here is the the whole fricking album. 10 hours of work. The Youtube text said that I am allowed to release this music. I did it the official way. The claim was, that Youtube might show ads in the videos, and all the money goes to "respective copyright holders". I don't get any money, if I don't make a "claim". After that I might get some share from the videos, maybe. It allowed to show the autographs and everything. On top of that, I study in Kuopio (maybe 60 miles from Kitee). So basically the Finnish label guys can visit my studying place if they want (concerning copyrights). I was a little amazed how easy this was. I used Adobe Premiere Elements to make the videos. So I exported the video from Premiere at full quality, which makes a "downscaling" effect. This means, that technically this material is much below CD-quality, but the conversion is very good. Note, I made the conversion in the video editing program. The Youtube "downscaling" cannot use that much of CPU-power. That is propably why these sound so good. (Of course Adobe software have a very good audio scaling algoritm.) So, these videos are completely legal right now. I just wanted to test this. I will download these videos to another specific new channel. I will replace the link. So that everything is not under one channel. I cannot change Youtube Channel, because it requires phone authorization, and my Apple iPhone is dead (recharging doesn't work.) Typical musical problems.
  3. I have always wondered how would it be to upload CD-quality files to Youtube. It have seemed very complex to me. I uploaded a video and seems like the requirement is the money from the ads. So I can upload almost any file, if all the money from the ads goes to "respective copyright holders" (record companies etc.) I will be uploading more music. This is the first test. I am not in terrible need for money right now. Of course I am finnish myself, so even though I don't directly benefit a penny right now, some of the money goes into finnish pockets 😄. I think this sounds very good.
  4. I have a lot of finnish people around me right now, so I'm not in a desperate need for a "Finnish only" chat room in that sense. But maybe it would be nice. We could have our own secret discusions there, which nobody else understands. 🙂 Of course, if you are bored or something, I don't mind.
  5. Patience, young Padawan. In my home town (not my current town) we start things and leave a little bit slowly. For instance, somebody wants to leave now from some place. The driver says "we'll leave in 15 minutes". After 30 minutes the other guy says: "you said 15 minutes, it's been like 30!" The drives says: "oh yes, we'll leave soon." After 45 minutes the same question. Sometimes this can repeat like 2 or 3 times. Ok, maybe I'm a little bit overreacting. But the train comes when it comes. I don't know if this gives some reference, but Markus Vanhala (Omnium Gatherum, Insomnium) is from my home town (Kotka, Finland.) If you have been to any Omnium Gatherum shows. Actually Omnium Gatherum was founded in Kotka. "Kotka" means "eagle" by the way. It is because Kotka is on the coast, and of course there are eagles on the area. However, I don't remember seeing very many eagles in Kotka.
  6. Of course I have seen Tarja many times on video (I have the End Of An Era Blu-Ray, for instance.) Once live in my local church (it was a Christmas tour.) By finnish standards, this kind of zooming "in your face" etc. makes me feel a little uncomfortable, when watching the video. My brother said the same thing. And imagine this close-up of Tarja's face played on a 80-inch television or something. Maybe it is supposed to be a little bit "sexy", but seems like it is "ok." This kind of "close-up" shot is not a one-time incident on live recordings. I think that there was the "new guy" behind the camera on the Top Of The Pops -show. Of course psychologically the "new guy" might get a little excited about the zooming at first.
  7. I think my avatar is cool too! I designed it when i was, maybe, 14, which is almost 15 years ago. This is the original file from that time. I want to become a professional musician. As I said, I study drums right now. I don't have a schedule for releasing new music. After all, I have to go to school and all that. So my release cycle is something like 2 or 3 months, it depends. At times I do 2 songs in one month. But of course, composing music is very time consuming. You know, it takes Time (II or III months, get it?). This is kind of a symbiotic relationship. I compose my own music, and then i practice mixing on my own track. So short answer, I will be releasing new music.
  8. I have searched Youtube through the years for old material, which are rare. Some the original physical footage is mystically "destroyed" or they get lost or something. They can be found but they are sometimes hard to find. These kinds of videos sometimes "mystically" disappear from Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0duCbvbgPU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkZloIuhOOg Here is some old weird playback thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDOOksnpvkk&list=WL&index=61
  9. I'll just link it here so you don't have to search for the video.
  10. I happened to find this part of history. 2005 Apocalyptica performed at the World Championships in Helsinki. 2005 Nightwish performed at the World Championships in Athletics. I don't know if they were the same event.
  11. I am a 27 years old male from Finland. My first time hearing Nightwish was the song "Nemo". At that time in my home town, the radio was always on in the bus. So when I took the bus home, I could listen to some finnish "hit" music. I heard "Nemo" on the bus and thought: "´What a cool song." I was like 10, so I introduced Nightwish to my parents. "Wish I Had An Angel" had just came out, so my parents gave me a little lesson about things. Anyway, now I study drums in a conservatory in Finland. I produce my own music. It's mainly midi-based. So that nobody need to ask, I use the Fortin Nameless guitar plugin in my newest recordings. This is my official Youtube channel right now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcoBr_92y1Q
