Oh yeah, good point! Was trying to figure out what Metallica song Tuomas could possibly weave in, and when, and how.

Seems kinda unnecessary to mention Emppu's Enter Sandman snippet since it's in the studio version and every live performance ever, but that does seem like the likeliest explanation!

I know, it's the first time I see it mentioned like this. Either it's someone new to the band and/or to editing setlist.fm, or Tuomas really tried something different tonight, which would be surprising to say the least! 😁

Still nothing on YouTube from Hamburg, I can't wait to see Our Decades and Tuomas playing Metallica! 🤘

Anyway, another surprise in Hamburg tonight, the long awaited (by some, anyway 😁) first live performance of PAN Our Decades In The Sun! Can't wait to see videos. I wonder if it will sound any different from the solo Floor version.

You almost had me there! I thought they would have performed "Pan", but this is a bigger surprise.

Found out that it is an acoustic version of the song:

Wow thanks! 👀 It's beautiful! I mean, I wouldn't want Nightwish to start playing sets full of acoustic folk songs, but I do love a slower song peppered here and there. I'm surprised that Floor chose to make this one even mellower by going acoustic, but it makes sense as a replacement in the set to How's The Heart. The whole vibe, with Kai playing those shakers, reminds me of the acoustic set during the Baltic cruise. Can they please play Edema Ruh again now? 🥺🙏

Welcome to the forums, obrien! Sorry to hear that the sound was poor at your show, sometimes it changes a lot depending on where you're sitting/standing in the venue. Prague could be extra special though, last show of the European tour!

We've tested several positions when beast in Black played. There was no sweet spot.

Have been at Stuttgart today. Much better sound. In my opinion like comparing tape to CD..

Sorry for not being around much for a couple of days, I was moving house on Friday and I'm still unpacking and trying to be at least functional for work tomorrow! I'll catch up this week and update things in time for the conclusion of the European tour. 🤘

I see you made up for the poor venue in Frankfurt! Are you still going to Prague?

Wow, Parkbühne Wuhlheide in Berlin looks stunning - what a beautiful place for a Nightwish show. I'll be a little bit jealous over here on the other side of the world, but I'll look forward to watching videos. 🙂

Indeed! And the Gelsenkirchen venue is not too bad either, with the river flowing right behind the scene! 👀

Interesting - sounds like the Beast in Black singer may have joined the band on stage for Sahara.

Indeed, on setlist.fm Yannis Papadopoulos is credited on Sahara. I haven't found a recording on YouTube yet, I'm sure it will surface sooner than later!

On social media Floor shares some thoughts at the end of this exhausting (I imagine) tour leg. 🖤

"Just minutes before the final show of our European tour at the sold out O2 Arena in Prague, I am filled with so many emotions. This tour has been an incredible journey for me, both personally and professionally.

On a personal level, it's been a challenge recovering from surgery and preparing for radiation therapy, but every day has gotten a little better thanks to the energy of performing with Nightwish, love from friends and family & feeling the power & love from our amazing fans.

And on a professional level, it's been an unforgettable experience. From the two sold out shows in Amsterdam where we were joined by Henk Poort for a special performance of The Phantom of the Opera, to the 22 shows we've played across Europe, every moment has been a highlight.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to do what I love, and for the support of our fans, who have been with us every step of the way. Thank you for your undying support. "

She's done such an incredible job - amazing dedication. Hopefully she, the band and the crew all enjoy some well-deserved downtime now. And I liked that Sahara performance!

Still interested to see see if/when those Asian dates might be able to be rescheduled for some time in 2023. Obviously I'd love NZ/Australia to be added too, but I'd settle for Asian dates at a time of the year where NZ-Singapore flights might be a bit cheaper than they were in early January! And it would be lovely to see the fans in those countries get their long-awaited opportunity.
